“Things will get better”

Hello! So I planned on doing a new update tomorrow once I saw my ENT but he’s had a death in the family and I won’t be seeing him now until next week so today is as good as any. Yesterday I went to see my neurosurgeon’s assistant to get my stitches out. Luckily there was no pain involved, just a lot of holding still. I knew I wouldn’t be able to get the same info from the assistant as the doc but I asked all my questions anyways. When I say I asked “all” my questions it’s really just one … Will this get better? Thank goodness the woman had compassion while talking to me and said of course she couldn’t give me any promises but that things would get better and that facial nerves can take up to a year to bounce back and show us “what they’re going to do”. Of course I’m believing for less than a year and 100% regeneration, but it was nice for someone who deals with this regularly to say “things will get better”. Other than just the obvious my vocal chords have had a number done on them and are not working properly. Jonah and I went to eat after the appointment and it was so discouraging to sit in a restaurant and not be able to be heard by him or anyone else. There is so much at work at the same time that it can get overwhelming to try to figure out what you want “more” or “now” or “first”. So I just say that I want improvement. I believe 100% in the healing power or Jesus and I am choosing that complete healing is mine … I’d just love some mile markers in the road as well (darn human side). Here are some updated pictures from yesterday. The assistant told me that she had seen me in the hospital and already saw improvement so that was definitely an added bonus. I’ll take every shred of improvement no matter how small! Isaiah 41:10 “Do not fear for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteousness right hand.”
